mcalc - a tournament poker utility
If you’ve read Dan Harrington’s books on tournament poker then you are familiar with the concept of M and Effective-M and how it applies to your strategy in a poker game. In an effort to help me to verify the calculations while I was learning to do them in my head I wrote a little utility that calculates everything for you. I also added in an average stack size calculation but it is a little redundant since most online poker rooms provide average stack numbers for tournaments.
It’s a c# application so you’ll need windows and the .net framework. You can download it here
