Working out of the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California, Joel has been doing software development for over 12 years. Working over a wide range of problem domains such as :
- Banking
- Accounting
- E-Commerce
- Inventory Management
- Healthcare
Joel has been involved in a lot of great projects over the years and has worked with many technologies and platforms such as :
- Microsoft’s .NET and COM platforms - IIS, Desktop applications etc
- Java - servlets, tomcat, jboss struts etc
- LAMP - linux, apache/apache2, mysql4/5 & postgres 7.4+, php, perl etc
- Front end environments - Adobe’s Flex, Javascript, DOM
- Database sytems : SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres
When he’s not busy working on a client’s problems Joel enjoys reading, long-distance bicycle riding, hiking, and riding his motorcycle.
